Born and raised in Bangkok, Phannapast has a lifelong fascination with nature and storytelling. This passion shines through her whimsical creations which breathe life into stories of heritage, dreams and human experience.
For the Swatch Destination Art Bangkok watch, referred to as THE WANDERER, she has created a unique watch and packaging that captures the essence of Thailand. From Hanuman, the revered character from Ramakien, to traditional Thai motifs, this watch offers a sense of connection to Thailand’s rich cultural heritage. What a way to spend time!
THE WANDERER draws inspiration from the Thai tradition of carrying protective amulets, with Hanuman, known for his protective nature and unwavering loyalty, at the heart of the design. Surrounded by celestial bodies—the moon and stars—artistically rendered using the Prajam Yam, a traditional Thai motif, this vibrant timepiece almost doubles as a talisman to ward off negative energy.
