This is thanks to a brand-new watch dedicated to Madrid and designed in collaboration with local artist Gonhdo. Born and based in Madrid, Gonhdo studied at New York University where his fascination and admiration for pop art and street culture, including the works of Keith Haring, was born. This, plus his degree in architecture from the University of Madrid and further studies in Mexico, helped him develop his distinctive style. For the Swatch Destination Art Madrid watch, he has created a colorful, buzzing and dynamic design fully inspired by the Spanish capital, taking over the watch as well as the special packaging – and soon, more! From theater to art, architecture to public transport, fashion to flowers, this watch is a unique trip through the streets of the city, its culture and local characters. What a way to spend time!
The distinctive dial adds a tasty touch with a very special recipe. The hour markers are the ingredients for the local specialty Cocido Madrileño.
