Get ready for an epic festival of surf, music, skate and art
At Swatch, we’re stoked and ready to put on our wetsuits as we hit the waves for the Quiksilver Festival by Swatch. From September 21 to 29, we’ll be hanging ten in Hossegor for this year’s edition, which promises to be an unforgettable gathering of the biggest names in the surf community.
Hossegor is a jewel on France’s Atlantic Coast, known worldwide for its beach breaks, culture and heritage. The Quiksilver Festival is known for its innovative format that encourages creativity and community over competition and is presented this year for the first time by Swatch. The partnership underlines our commitment to and passion for surf.
In addition to the surf contest, the week-long celebration of surf culture includes a music festival, skate demo and surf movie premieres. It’s all designed to celebrate the surf spirit and Swatch is excited to be on board.
There will be 24 of the world’s best surfers who will be showing off their skills in the epic waves and pushing the limits of what is possible on a surfboard. Among them will be Swatch Proteam athletes, surf superstar Coco Ho and free surfing prodigy, Noah Beschen, who will not only participate in thrilling surf competitions but will also engage with fans in dedicated meet and greet and signing sessions.
The Quiksilver Festival by Swatch will also unite the worlds of surfing with skateboarding, featuring a dedicated side event with Swatch Proteam athlete and skateboarding superstar Andy Anderson. Our vibrant Swatch Sports Community members, skateboarder Val LaForge and freestyle longboarder, Lotfi Lamaali will also be in attendance showcasing their own unique talents during skate sessions.
But the festival fun doesn’t end there! Nine-time BMX flatland world champion Matthias Dandois will also be demonstrating his unparalleled skills with a masterclass display during the closing party.
Visitors at the festival can discover the world of Swatch and explore many of the latest releases, including the adrenaline-fueled watches from the Swatch PROTEAM Collection that were co-created with Swatch Proteam athletes Andy Anderson, Matthias Dandois, Coco Ho and mountain bike legend Sam Pilgrim.
