Swatch Nines is the thrill-a-minute action sports series with a difference
The countdown is on to Swatch Nines MTB! Taking place from 10 – 14 September, it’s one of the most exciting mountain bike events on the 2024 calendar and features an unbeatable lineup of mountain bike greats.
In our second year as title sponsor, we’re excited to be back in the saddle as we head to a brand-new, innovative course at Sölden in the Austrian Alps. With some of the biggest names in MTB confirmed to take part, it promises to be a thrill a minute as well as an important occasion to drive progression in the sport and inspire a new generation of riders and fans alike.
It’s the second Swatch Nines event of the year and follows hot on the heels of the record-breaking Swatch Nines Snow which took place in April at spectacular Schilthorn in Switzerland.
Swatch Proteam athletes out in force
This year, Swatch Nines MTB brings together a diverse international crew of the world’s top mountain bike athletes. The unique lineup also includes Swatch Proteam athletes, Erik Fedko, Casey Brown and the incomparable Sam Pilgrim.
Course design
The Swatch Nines set-up design blends technical expertise and innovation. This one-of-a-kind playground is where seasoned legends and up-and-coming talents can come together to conquer gravity-defying challenges and push the boundaries of mountain biking. Designed in collaboration with some of the biggest names in MTB, the event’s courses offer the ultimate platform for landing new tricks. In 2023, not one, not two, but a jaw-dropping eight “never seen before” tricks made fans go wild! This year, the unique course design promises to facilitate an equally thrilling spectacle.
The course brings together the best elements of slopestyle and freestyle mountain biking and promises to give the athletes the very best opportunities to try out new ideas and test themselves in a non-competitive environment.
With the uniquely supportive Swatch Nines atmosphere, it’s a perfect place for the athletes to let their creativity run free.
Public day
On 14 September, Swatch Nines will be open to the public, giving mountain bike fans the opportunity to see their favorite riders in action. The public day also coincides with the BYND The Hill Festival, a three-day event featuring all kinds of festivities, parties, DJ sets and loads of MTB-related fun. Adding to the electrifying atmosphere, Swatch will be on site at the festival with our signature Swatch Truck and offering a range of activities including Swatch Proteam signing sessions. In addition, fans can get their hands on the dedicated Swatch Nines watch, which is also on sale online.
With the Swatch Nines MTB in Sölden, the stage is set for an electrifying display of mountain bike magic!
