The new Swatch Headquarters
After a construction period of almost five years, Swatch inaugurates its new headquarters in Biel – one of the world’s largest timber structures, designed by the Japanese star architect Shigeru Ban. Heralding a new chapter in the history of the brand, this building defies current conventions, just like the watches that are created there.
建築大樓
Swatch 新建築大樓的曲線輪廓獨一無二，呈現出閃閃發光的效果。整座建築總長 240 米，寬 35 米，外牆的最高達 27 米。這種非比尋常的設計突破了傳統辦公建築的結構，卻能與城市環境很好地融為一體。木材框架結構是大面積外牆的基本結構。之所以選擇這種傳統材料，是因為其特性非常環保並且可持續利用。
同樣由坂茂建築師設計的 Cité du Temps，整體規模為 80 x 17 x 28 米，形成了一個獨立的建築單元，與 Swatch 大樓完美呼應。一層是壯觀的 Omega Museum，二層則是 PLANET SWATCH。位於四層的 Nicolas G. Hayek Conference Hall 是專為 Swatch Group 而準備的會議廳，其橢圓的形狀獨樹一幟。
周邊環境
在新的公司總部周圍佈置了一個寬敞的綠色區域，為比爾這座城市、當地居民和外來遊客提供了一個休閒區域。在景觀環境中，很好地保留了原有的樹木，還種植了很多新樹木和綠色植物。整個 Swatch 基地有 120 多棵新樹木，成為園區的一道風景線。Swatch 基地的南部邊緣也屬於休閒區的一部分，河邊有一條優美的遠足小徑，是休閒放鬆的地方。
