This Blancpain X Swatch watch honors Blancpain’s Fifty Fathoms, the first true diver’s watch. Its ice white case and crown are made of Bioceramic material. The word “Swatch” is inscribed on the outer left side of the case. The metal dial is printed in several layers of color for a gradient effect. The hour indexes, hour, and minute hands, as well as the scale on the bezel, are enriched with Grade A Super-LumiNova® for outstanding legibility in the dark. The one-direction rotating ice white-colored Bioceramic bezel, and biosourced glass are treated with an anti-scratch coating. The SISTEM51 mechanical movement is visible thanks to a transparent sapphire glass and features an illustration of the Antarctic Ocean and the Tritoniella Belli nudibranch in digital print. Five inspirational inscriptions can be found on the back of the watch: PASSION FOR DIVING – LICENCE TO EXPLORE – OCEAN BREATH – PROTECT WHAT YOU LOVE and IMMERSE YOURSELF. The NATO strap is made of recycled fishing nets that were removed from the sea. The pin buckle and loops are made of Bioceramic material.

SISTEM51
The watches in the Bioceramic Scuba Fifty Fathoms Collection are equipped with Swatch’s mechanical movement SISTEM51. This Swiss-made mechanism features just 51 parts including only one central screw, has a 90-hour autonomy and is fully anti-magnetic thanks to its hairspring made with Nivachron™, ensuring high precision.
In true Swatch fashion, every SISTEM51 movement is visible thanks to a transparent display back. All watches in the Bioceramic Scuba Fifty Fathoms Collection feature an illustration of an ocean and a colorful nudibranch.

BIOCERAMIC
Developed and patented by Swatch, Bioceramic is a unique blend of two thirds ceramic used in high-end watchmaking and one third biosourced material derived from castor oil, resulting in a very durable, scratch-resistant product with a silky matte finish.
